TDT : what is the best Linux distriibution ?

    Halo,

Is there a Linux distribution wich is "the best" to compile E2 Ducktales for SH4 Fortis ?

In fact i have 2 distribution in dualboot configure for that without any issues in make.sh but get issues in both cases, different issues

i have an ubuntu 10.04.1 and a Fedora 14, may be opensuse is a better choice for that ? any ideas ?

There really is no "better" or "best".
      If it works, it works.

      I have used ubuntu 9.10, kUbuntu 10.4, uUbuntu 10.4 (32bit and 64bit).
They all resulted in working images.
Using Ubuntu 10.4 x64 right now because the Ubuntu 10.10 x64 does NOT work and doesn't build.
Switched from kUbuntu because in kUbuntu you loose the clipboard contents when you close a program.

Tried Fedora or some other non-ubuntu-based distro once, but gave up, not because of the build but because I found it more complicated to work with because there was no apt-get and so many instructions for other tools are based on ubuntu.

As you can see, I use whatever I find easiest to costumize and work with outside tdt-work.

So I think as long as the build works, it doesn't really matter which you use. As long as you can get all the necessary packages you'll be fine.

          Halo,

I have positive results with Ubuntu 9.10, i have dedicated an old laptop for that and begin to leave my total newbie status in Enigma2 sh4 compilation

Thank's for all the feed-back, this forum is really one of the best
